Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing HR and Labour Relations support across the organization in support of recruiting, talent development, employment relations, compensation and training. This individual will be a champion of this award-winning culture.
What you should expect:
- Provide day-to-day support to Managers in Team Member development, performance management, progressive discipline, and all Team Member relations issues
- Participate in full-cycle recruiting, which includes sourcing, scheduling, job posting optimization, offer letters, and onboarding support
- Assist with the delivery of HR programs and projects in areas such as talent management, engagement, culture, recruitment and selection, training and succession planning
- Maintain Team Member records within our HRIS and partner with HR services to ensure all Team Member changes are reflected promptly
- Collaborate with the HR Team to identify, design and execute strategies that drive business results and promote our corporate culture
- Analyze people trends and ongoing challenges, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Actively work to understand key business challenges and objectives of the HR Team in order to drive a proactive approach to human resources and labour relations
- Ensures familiarity with the language and application of our various Collective Agreements
- Participates in ongoing HR projects, initiatives and other work as assigned

What you should bring:
- 2 years Human Resources experience working within a fast-paced environment
- A University degree or college diploma in Human Resources or a related field with CHRP designation (or actively pursuing)
- Previous experience and knowledge in HR areas such as labour relations, employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation and training
- Previous experience in full-cycle recruitment
- A proven track record of building strong partnerships within own team and cross-functionally
- Results-driven individual who takes initiative and accountability to improve HR support and programs
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on business needs
- Excellent leadership, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment and related legislation (e.g. Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Employment Equity legislation, etc)
- HR experience in a unionized environment is an asset
