WONDERING WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

The Human Resources Generalist will help develop, collaborate, and coordinate a variety of functions within the HR Department including aspects of talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and change management support. You will support department leaders and people managers regarding recruitment, performance management, mentorship and career development, and fostering a positive work environment. The Human Resources Generalist is also responsible for assisting with the overall administration and coordination of human resources-related responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates on the development and maintenance of departmental programs and processes in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, training and career development, employee relations, employee engagement, and HR analytics.
  • Remains current with best practices, legislative changes, and industry standards.
  • Manages and maintains departmental procedures and recommends improvements to policies and processes.
  • Is an active member of the HR team and provides high level support and establishes effective working relationships with staff.
  • Supports departmental and people managers on interpretation and administration of policies, programs, and best practices.
  • Participates in implementing organizational change initiatives and contributes to cross-departmental initiatives as required.
  • Supports development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align staff with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Ensures organizational compliance regarding employment legislation and supports audits, reporting, and policy updates related to legal and regulatory requirements.

THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years working in Human Resources, experience working in a consulting environment is an asset.
  • Formal education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a similar field.
  • Understanding of employment governance, legislation, and regulatory environment along with familiarity with standard concepts, practices, policies, and procedures that govern employee rights and employer obligations.
  • Experience with employee compensation, recruitment, employee relations, performance development, training, and employee communications.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and is comfortable navigating change.
  • Comfortable working in evolving environments, balancing multiple priorities, and adapting to shifting organizational needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations and propose practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) with the ability to develop deep relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to view situations from multiple perspectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Respect for confidentiality.
