Job summary

Terra Dygital Solutions in Toronto is seeking an HR Generalist to own a broad range of HR responsibilities across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR programs. The role partners with employees, managers and leadership to ensure a positive employee experience and smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in HR Generalist roles, strong recruitment experience, and a post-secondary HR or business degree.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role, with strong recruitment and lifecycle support.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPHR designation or working toward one is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruitment across multiple roles and functions.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including documentation and system setup.
  • Administer benefits programs, enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Provide initial support on employee relations and escalate complex issues.
  • Maintain HRIS data and personnel files with accuracy.
  • Apply HR policies consistently and support program administration.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, scheduling and tracking.
  • Support HR programs and cyclic processes throughout the lifecycle.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement with sensitive information.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver responsive HR support.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing and data entry.
  • Assist with payroll-related inquiries and requirements.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Toronto office.

About This Role

This is a hands‑on role for an HR professional who enjoys working across the employee lifecycle, building strong relationships with employees and managers, and keeping things organized behind the scenes.

The role has a strong focus on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR programs, and day‑to‑day employee support, with light administrative support for our Toronto office as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to take ownership of a broad range of HR responsibilities while working closely with employees, managers, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support full‑cycle recruitment across a variety of roles, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offer preparation.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system setup, orientation, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and responding to employee questions.
  • Provide initial support to employees and managers on employee relations matters and escale more complex issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
  • Support the administration and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including scheduling, documentation, tracking, and follow‑up.
  • Support the execution of HR programs, initiatives, and cyclical processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide responsive and effective HR support.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing, including data entry and validation.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate payroll and employee data.
  • Support payroll‑related inquiries and administrative requirements as needed.
  • Provide general administrative and office support for the Toronto office as required.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience managing full‑cycle recruitment across multiple roles and functions.
  • Working knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems; experience with Humi is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
  • A proactive, practical, and service‑oriented approach to HR.
Education and Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role, with strong experience in recruitment and employee lifecycle support.
  • Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPHR designation or working toward a CPHR is considered an asset.
Compensation and Additional Perks
  • Competitive compensation based on skill set and experience, ranging between $75,000 and $90,000 per year.
