Job summary

Magna Seating in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking an HR professional to deliver daily support to employees and foster positive employee relations. You will lead full-cycle recruitment and help develop company policies and onboarding programs.

Protected by confidentiality, you will manage HR records in Workday/Dayforce, ensure regulatory compliance, and support HR projects while coordinating attendance and leave. A relevant degree and 3–5 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Post Graduate College diploma or University degree in Human Resources required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Experience working with Workday & Dayforce or similar HRIS platforms preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to employees while fostering positive employee relations.
  • Lead full cycle recruitment process.
  • Assist with HR Projects as assigned.
  • Audit and support management with time and attendance for biweekly pay through Dayforce system.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all HR documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs and maintain HR records.
  • Communicate with temporary agencies and support payroll inquiries.
