Job Description:

We are looking for a Human Resources Director

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
• Manage strategic planning for the Human Resources department
• Manage all aspects of HR activities with the help of a passionate and autonomous team (staffing, employer branding, onboarding, training and skills development, performance management, labour relations, TFW, OHS, salary management and compensation)
• Lead a high-performing HR team and foster its professional development
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and legal standards
• Oversee the payroll management process
• Drive initiatives to improve organizational culture, employee engagement, and talent retention
• Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and needs
• Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, providing HR insights and solutions
• Manage employee well-being

Desired Profile:

Requirements

• University degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in managing HR teams
• Member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals
• Experience in a unionized environment
• Experience in a manufacturing or food environment (an asset)
• Strong knowledge of labour and OSH laws and regulations
• Ease in administrative recruitment processes
• Expertise in HR strategy, change management and organizational development
• Technological agility (Office 365, payroll system)
• Comfortable working with diversity and inclusion
• Fluency in French
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
