Job summary

Thorens is seeking a Director of Human Resources to partner with the executive team, guiding people-related strategy while ensuring operational excellence across the HR function. The role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, coaching senior leaders and driving workforce planning, leadership development, and compensation strategy.

Ideal candidate will lead talent acquisition initiatives, oversee health and safety programs, and harmonize HR processes across international operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CHRP, CRIA, CRHA, SHRM, or equivalent designation considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site and/or international operations.
  • Strong expertise across multiple HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, and health and safety.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders and executives.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and strong execution skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in both English and French, spoken and written.

  • Harmonize HR processes across international operations.

JOBDESCRIPTION :

Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Human Resources will serve as a trusted business partner to the executive leadership team, providing strategic guidance on all people-related matters while ensuring operational excellence across the HR function.

This role requires a strong balance between strategy and execution. The successful candidate will coach and advise senior leaders and mid-level managers, lead talent acquisition initiatives, support organizational growth, oversee compensation strategies, and ensure effective management of health and safety programs across multiple locations.

TASKSAND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the President and Executive Leadership Team on all human capital matters.

  • Lead the development and evolution of compensation and total rewards strategies.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain HR policies, programs, and best practices.
  • Support the harmonization of HR processes and practices across international operations.
Profil

WORK CONDITIONS :
  • Annual salary between $120,000 and $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Group insurance coverage from day one, with 50% of premiums paid by the employer
