Reporting to the VP, People, the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator will provide a variety of HR tasks to help support the People team and our employees. The HR Coordinator will support full-cycle recruitment, employee onboarding and offboarding, general HR administration, and daily operations of the HR department. The HR Coordinator will also be the point of contact for employee inquiries, providing high-quality service and support to all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a variety of coordination and administrative services through the full cycle recruitment processes, including postings, short-listing candidates, interview scheduling and onboarding phases of the talent acquisition life cycle
  • Assist with new hire orientation and the onboarding process
  • Key liaison for benefits administration
  • Support the HR team with input and administration of employee data, including new hires, terminations, status changes, transfers, leaves, and changes in positions.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related inquiries and provide guidance on policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Prepare new employee files and maintain HR databases and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Stay informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as required
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Files documents into the appropriate employee files
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR related role
  • Experience working in healthcare sector/tech considered an asset
  • CHRP designation would be considered an asset
  • Experience with benefits administration and/or recruitment is considered an asset
