Job description

Jones Healthcare Group – Where Innovation Meets Purpose!

We're looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team and support a wide range of HR activities across our Packaging Services Business Unit. This hands-on role is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, and supporting HR programs and initiatives that enhance the colleague experience. Recruitment is a key focus during hiring periods, while at other times the role supports onboarding, employee lifecycle activities, and day-to-day HR operations for colleagues and leaders.

Every day looks different in this dynamic role. In addition to supporting day-to-day HR activities, you will have opportunities to contribute to broader HR projects and initiatives and continue developing your HR knowledge and skills.

Why this Role Matters

People are at the heart of our organization, and this role plays an important part in supporting the colleague experience.

In this role, how you work is as important as what you do. You will be part of a collaborative team that shares information openly and supports one another to get things done effectively.

We place strong importance on respect, empathy, and inclusivity in every interaction – whether supporting a candidate, colleague, or leader. As our organization evolves, we value people who are adaptable, open to feedback, and willing to learn and grow with us.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

  • Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
  • Participate in job fairs and community recruitment events to support talent attraction efforts.
  • Coordinate all onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
  • Coordinate medical assessments, benefits and retirement savings enrollment sessions, and onboarding documentation.
  • Maintain onboarding materials and supplies to ensure a smooth new hire experience.
Colleague Experience & HR Support
  • Support colleague engagement and recognition initiatives, including service awards, celebrations, and workplace events.
  • Support HR communications and annual training rollouts, including tracking completion and follow-up.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to colleagues and leaders, responding to inquiries and escalating as required.
  • Assist with resignation and retirement administration, including documentation, exit interviews, and coordination with Payroll and other departments.
HR Operations & Administration
  • Maintain accurate colleague records and HR/HSE files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Prepare HR documentation, including performance-related correspondence and other employee communications.
  • Support HR and HSE projects, audits, process improvements, and HR initiatives.
  • Assist with disability claims coordination and return-to-work support in partnership with the Senior HR Business Partner.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors such as recruitment agencies and other service providers.
  • Support employer branding materials, internal communications boards, and facility postings.
What You’ll Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2+ years of HR experience, including hands-on recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations, or hourly workforce environments is an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Confidence working with colleagues and leaders at all levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
