Job summary

Jones Healthcare Group is hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure packaging operations meet GMP and GDP standards. You will verify materials, perform in-process sampling and inspections, and support investigations to uphold product quality and integrity.

Join a team focused on compliant documentation, proactive problem solving, and continuous improvement. The role requires a science background and ability to work rotating afternoon and night shifts on-site in Brampton, Canada.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a science-related field.
  • 1+ years of QA within GMP-regulated environments is an asset.
  • Experience with GMP/GDP practices.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Verify packaging orders, materials, line clearance, and cleaning to ensure clean start.
  • Perform in-process sampling, testing, and inspections to ensure specifications are met.
  • Confirm products, components, lot numbers, and release docs are accurate.
  • Audit production records, investigate discrepancies, and support CAPA activities.
  • Champion GDP and GMP compliance while guiding production teams.

As a key partner to Production, you'll help maintain the highest quality standards across our packaging operations, enabling compliant processes, protecting product integrity, and contributing to a culture where quality comes first.

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you'll play a key role in ensuring packaging operations meet established quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and inspection requirements. You'll work closely with production teams to verify compliance, support investigations, promote strong documentation practices, and help foster a culture where quality comes first.

What You’ll Be Accountable For
  • Production Readiness: Verify packaging orders, materials, line clearance activities, and cleaning processes to ensure production starts safely and accurately.
  • Quality Inspections: Perform in-process sampling, testing, and inspections to confirm products consistently meet established specifications and quality standards.
  • Material Verification: Confirm products, packaging components, lot numbers, and release documentation are accurate and compliant before use.
  • Quality Review: Audit production records, investigate discrepancies, support root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.
  • Compliance Leadership: Champion Good Documentation Practices, data integrity, and GMP compliance while providing guidance and support to production teams.
  • Validation & Testing: Execute validation protocols, complete sampling and testing activities, and review results against acceptance criteria.
  • Product Release: Support the release of incoming materials and finished goods, ensuring products meet quality requirements before distribution.
What You’ll Bring
  • College diploma or bachelor's degree in a science-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, between afternoon (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) and night (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) shifts.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right the first time.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence working independently, taking initiative, and solving problems proactively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Additional Quality Assurance or GMP-related training or certifications are considered an asset.

Total Rewards

We’re offering a competitive compensation in the range of $50,000 - $52,000 per year. Pay will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
