Job summary

CAE is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for Operations to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives and driving performance. You will partner to manage talent, employee relations, performance, and organizational change across a global client group.

The role blends strategic partnership with hands-on HR support, requiring strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and the ability to translate business needs into people solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced HR environment.
  • Proven change management experience with business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to Operations leaders, providing guidance on people strategy, organisational effectiveness, and leadership practices.
  • Build strong partnerships with leaders to support workforce planning, team performance, and engagement initiatives.
  • Lead and support complex employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, internal policies, and governance standards.
  • Partner with leaders to design and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Contribute to succession planning and leadership pipeline development within Operations.
  • Support the execution of transformation initiatives within Operations (organisational changes, continuous improvement, etc.).
  • Drive adoption of corporate programmes and HR initiatives across the client group.
  • Analyse people metrics and trends to identify risks and opportunities, developing proactive action plans to support business performance.
  • Work closely with Centres of Excellence (COEs) and HR Business Operations to deliver integrated HR solutions and ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Roll out various corporate programmes and initiatives within client groups.

The role we are offering you:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for Operations will act as a trusted strategic advisor to leaders within the Operations organization, supporting a global client group.

In alignment with CAE's HR operating model, the HRBP will partner closely with leaders to drive organizational performance, align people strategies with business objectives, and support the execution of key transformation initiatives within Operations

This role combines strategic partnership and hands‑on HR support, ensuring effective delivery across key HR domains including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing Human Resources environment.
  • Proven experience in change management combined with a business acumen.
  • Collaborative team player with demonstrated professional and emotional maturity and judgment to handle sensitive situations with integrity, diplomacy, tact and high ethical standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) combined with strong organisational and presentation skills.
  • The incumbent must have excellent problem‑solving skills in order to act as an internal advisor and a guide for the management team and for employees with regard to all human resources‑related matters.
  • Excellent customer service skills complemented with sound judgement and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of the organisation.
