Position: Human Resources Business Partner

DHL Express is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This role will be based in our Calgary office and may require travel to other operational facilities in the Prairies region as needed. The role provides Regional HR leadership and strategic business partnership to the Operations and Commercial Sales teams in Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

As a member of the HR Business Partner team, you will support local strategy and people impact to effectively lead the HR function and be an influential business partner by:

  1. Building strong, positive relationships at all levels of the organization to support your Local Area Business needs, HR strategy deployment, and act as a change agent for critical business initiatives and leadership in change management.
  2. Providing people management coaching to leaders and contributing to their skill development.
  3. Partnering with Talent Acquisition to develop a human resources management plan to attract, develop, and retain talent aligned with your area's business objectives.
  4. Championing performance and talent management processes, including participation in talent reviews and succession planning.
  5. Acting as the primary contact for Local Union representatives regarding issues related to the collective bargaining agreement and labor/management relations & strategy.
  6. Leading investigations on employee and labor relations issues such as harassment and disciplinary matters.
  7. Partnering with HR Centers of Expertise and the Business to proactively address grievances, disability management, training, compensation, development, and employee relations.
  8. Conducting training for employees and managers on topics like labor relations, attendance management, anti-harassment, and discrimination.
  9. Ensuring compliance with labor and employment legislation and staying current with HR industry developments.
  10. Contributing to local and national projects, influencing HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
  11. Performing other duties as assigned.
