Summary

We are seeking an HR and Training Generalist to join our Western Canada HR team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will support HR operations, including managing departmental workflow, recruitment, onboarding, HRIS maintenance, employee files, benefits, pension administration, and employee documentation. Additionally, this role will support the training team by scheduling online learning, maintaining training reports and documentation, and other related duties.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Human Resources
  • Manage HRIS (Workday) data, ensure accuracy, generate reports.
  • Coordinate with payroll for hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions.
  • Assist management and employees with benefits and pensions, liaising with carriers.
  • Handle Short-Term and Long-Term Disability claims with insurance carriers.
  • Post job openings, prescreen candidates, organize interviews.
  • Prepare employment letters and new hire packages.
  • Interpret HR policies and labor laws for employees.
  • Assist with Human Rights complaints and WCB claims.
  • Support performance evaluations and employee correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Director.
Training
  • Maintain training records, schedule sessions, support training initiatives.
  • Review and update training materials and manuals.
  • Manage online course enrollments in Workday.
  • Develop reports to measure training effectiveness.

Profile Requirements

  • 2-4 years HR experience.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • High integrity with confidentiality skills.
  • Adaptability and strong communication skills.
