Job summary

Ausenco is seeking an energetic Project HSE Manager to lead health and safety across a North American mining project. You will drive safety strategy, collaborate with project leadership, and oversee contractor safety performance on site in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in OH&S, CRSP accreditation, and extensive site experience on major projects. We offer a hybrid work model with competitive compensation and benefits in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related discipline.
• CRSP accreditation or equivalent highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in health and safety with significant site exposure on major projects.
• Demonstrated success improving contractor safety performance via partnership and accountability.
• Experience leading emergency response activities and incident investigations.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills for engaging project teams, contractors and clients.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion health and safety across the project, integrating safety into planning and execution.
• Partner with project and construction leadership to advise and support HSE objectives and KPIs.
• Develop and continually improve site-specific HSE strategies, plans, procedures, and standards.
• Drive contractor safety performance through review and oversight of safety plans and procedures.
• Lead hazard identification and risk assessment across disciplines to reduce risks.
• Foster a learning safety culture with incident reporting, investigation, and lessons learned.
