Job summary

Soprema is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to support two Ontario manufacturing facilities in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving HSE programs. You will advise management on OHSA compliance, participate in incident investigations, and help drive a strong safety culture across the sites.

The role requires hazard identification, risk control, training coordination, and collaboration with HR and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience in chemical or petrochemical environments is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of OHSA and applicable regulations.
• Understanding of WHMIS requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support two Ontario manufacturing facilities in implementing and improving HSE programs.
• Advise managers on OHSA compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Coordinate training and track corrective actions and performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain site HSE documents and programs (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, etc.).
• Assist with RTW, WSIB, and regulatory inspections and orders.
• Contribute to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.
