Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking a Director, HR Technology Operations to lead the reliability, security and continuous improvement of our HR tech ecosystem, including Workday and related systems.

You will own the operational strategy, oversee production support and the planning of bi-annual Workday releases, partnering with senior HR, risk and technology stakeholders to minimize disruption and maximize service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology operations or service delivery for a broad portfolio of enterprise SaaS applications.
• Experience leading business-critical cyclical processes, enterprise releases, production support and operational change.
• Knowledge of Workday operations, security controls, risk and compliance.
• Strong stakeholder alignment and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational strategy, service model and standards for Workday and other HR systems in the Operations portfolio.
• Oversee production support, incident response, problem management, service restoration, root cause analysis and stakeholder communications.
• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of bi-annual Workday releases and updates to other systems.
• Oversee release and operational readiness practices across the HR technology ecosystem.
