Job summary

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is seeking a temporary Specialist, Staffing for a one-year contract within the Human Resources department. The role focuses on supervising staffing processes, administering collective agreements, and supporting management on HR initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have a HR diploma, 2+ years in staffing and HRIS experience, strong communication skills and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in staffing and employee life cycle processes in HR.
• Knowledge of HR best practices and labour relations legislation.
• Experience with SAP/HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement changes to collective agreements in HR.
• Oversee daily admin and audit processes for seniority, files, salary grid, skills.
• Directly supervise HR support staff; manage performance and development.
• Administer collective agreement language within portfolio.
• Prepare statistical information for management.
• Recommend collective agreements and procedural changes to improve effectiveness.
• Support management on ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
