Job summary

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Senior HR Specialist plays an essential role supporting every stage of the employee life cycle.   • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment process, including confirming key posting details with hiring leaders, sourcing, attracting, screening and onboarding top talent

  • AnalyzeHRdatatosupportdecision-makingandcontinuousimprovementinHRprograms
  • Support preparation of internal HR communications for All Hands, board meetings and other events are required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • College or University degree, preferably in Human Resources, Social Sciences or Business
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a start-up/scale-up or fast-moving environment
  • Must be tech savvy, quick to learn new software
  • Exceptional communication skills – written, oral, presentation
  • Demonstrated success in building strong working relationships with diverse teams
  • Highly proficient in Google Suite and MS Office
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) as well as other applicable legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Human Rights Code

Please note this position is hybrid with 2 days/week on site in Kanata, Ontario.
