Job summary

XTL Transport Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead recruitment, employee relations, and policy implementation in our Alberta operations.

You will collaborate with management to meet HR needs, oversee health and safety, and guide staff through processes that enhance retention and employee experience. The role requires hands-on involvement in recruitment, policy updates, and HRIS management with ADP Workforce Now.

Qualifications

• HR experience or background in human resources.
• 1+ years of transportation experience.
• Expertise in HR policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of hiring processes.
• Good judgement and problem solving skills.
• Ability to mentor and supervise employees.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Organization and time management.
• Initiative; teamwork; Open to feedback.
• Ability to work with confidential information.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Perform all recruitment activities, including behavioral based interviews and reference checks.
• Manage hiring process, post jobs, and schedule interviews.
• Ensure timely handling of applications received online, in person, or by phone.
• Work with management to align HR needs with company goals.
• Ensure compensation guidelines are followed.
• Participate in the employee selection process.
• Provide HR guidance on employee relations and performance management.
• Improve communication and relations between staff and the company.
• Handle labour and employee relations matters and advise management.
• Support implementation of programs to improve employee experience.
