Our fantastic client is looking for a passionate Human Resources (HR) Manager to join their team on a part-time basis, ideally moving to full-time in the future.

As the HR Manager, and a vital member of the leadership team, this person will be eager to work closely with the CFO and COO to build and execute a robust HR plan across our North American offices. They will drive the development of HR strategies that align with the company’s growth, culture, and operational objectives, being well versed in implementing HR software, as well as developing policies and procedures to help streamline workflow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee HR policies and procedures for all subsidiaries.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive workforce planning, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive company culture focused on employee engagement and well-being.
  • Administer benefits programs, manage compensation structures, and oversee employee onboarding.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and adherence to both local and federal employment regulations.
  • Utilize HR software (experience with BambooHR is a plus) to enhance HR operations and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Offer guidance on training and development programs aimed at fostering employee growth and productivity.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all HR-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of HR practices in Canada, including employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HR software (BambooHR is a plus).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role is required
  • Previous experience within an IT or technology-driven environment is considered a strong asset

Base Salary:$35+ per hour

  • Salary based on experience

Work Hours:

  • 20-30 hours per week (flexible for full-time hours down the road)
  • Monday to Friday

Additional Notes:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
