Overview

CPI Card Group is looking for a dynamic Human Resource Generalist to support our Manufacturing team based in Fort Wayne, IN. The Human Resource Generalist will assist the HR Manager in the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including new hire orientation, employee support with pay, benefits, and LOAs, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts employee onboarding and supports new hire training initiatives. Will assist in interviews for production employees and advises on decision-making processes.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager or appropriate supervisor/manager.
  • May participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Collaborates with HRM to implement and execute employee engagement initiatives, including employee events, employee newsletter, and all-employee meetings.
  • Maintains all personnel files.
  • Completes various audits and other duties/special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience;
  • At least 3 years of human resource experience preferred;
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite;
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information;
  • Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations;
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated commitment to Doing the Right Thing, Being a Great Partner, Staying Curious and Striving for Excellence.

This is an onsite position in Fort Wayne, IN.
