Job summary

Aplin, on behalf of its private infrastructure and construction client, seeks a Director, Human Resources in Vaughan, Ontario. You will lead a scalable, commercially focused HR function, advising senior leaders and shaping organizational design, workforce planning and talent management across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5–7 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-business or similarly complex organization.
• Experience in construction or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking and change-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year HR strategy aligned with corporate objectives and growth plans.
• Act as trusted advisor to the President and senior leaders on organization, talent and people matters.
• Lead organization design, workforce planning and succession across multiple sites.
• Oversee HR due diligence, integration and governance for acquisitions and integrations.
• Build scalable recruitment, performance management and development programs.
• Lead employee relations, health and safety partnership and policy governance.
• Provide leadership for compensation and benefits with market competitiveness and cost effectiveness.
• Leverage HR tech, data analytics and automation to improve processes and reporting.
