About The Role

The Human Resources Coordinator will support all HR-related activities for Holland Power Services and its subsidiary companies. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will play a key role in supporting recruitment, benefits administration, employee records management, and the use of our HR systems. This is a busy, fast-paced role that requires excellent communication, organization, and technical skills, along with a professional and friendly approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, screening candidates, and preparing employment contracts.
  • Provide administrative HR support, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and processing employee changes (promotions, terminations, leave requests, etc.).
  • Administer the employee group benefit plan and respond to employee benefit inquiries.
  • Review, edit, and maintain various HR documents and communications, keeping employee manuals and HR policies up to date as directed.
  • Take initiative to improve HR processes and procedures with a high sense of independence.
  • Understand key company policies and assist managers and employees with related inquiries.
  • Support small projects and participate in corporate committees as needed.
  • Use HR systems, including BambooHR (HRIS), PerformYard (performance management), and our learning management system, to manage HR workflows, track employee performance and development, assign training, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Set up and manage training in the learning management system (LMS), including assigning courses, tracking completion, and running reports to support employee development and compliance.
What You Need To Succeed
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an HR administrative role.
  • Post-secondary education or a certificate in Human Resources or a related field (a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered).
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, performance management tools, and learning management systems is a strong asset.
  • Exposure to recruitment coordination (posting jobs, scheduling interviews).
  • Experience supporting onboarding or offboarding processes.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new HR software quickly.
  • Experience with benefits administration is an asset.
  • High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong sense of initiative and independence.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of general HR policies and best practices.
  • Fluency in both official languages (French and English) is an asset.
