Join our Team as an HR Business Partner!

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will be a trusted advisor on all talent matters, providing professional and proactive human resources support and service to a designated client group. Working as a strategic talent advisor with all levels of leadership, you will provide insights, advice, and hands-on coaching as required. Our HRBP works as part of the larger Human Resources team and 'brokers' solutions for clients by bringing in HR specialists (Compensation, Career Lifecycle, Labour Relations, Organizational Development, Occupational Health etc.) to provide their expertise and advice to clients as required. In this role, you will be integral in promoting a culture that is focused on compassion, commitment to quality, working together, and respect for the individual.
Please note that frequent travel between locations is required.
What You Will Do
As an HRBP, you will be responsible for a designated group of clients across the organization. Throughout the course of your duties, you will be required to:
- Lead HR planning (e.g. annual talent planning, succession planning, longer-range workforce planning).
- Provide advice and feedback to clients while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, employment legislation, and collective agreements.
- Provide guidance, coaching and assistance to leaders in the analysis and resolution of employee relations, discipline and performance management issues.
- Lead investigations into Code of Conduct and Harassment complaints and mediate complex employee relations issues.
- Provide advice and feedback to clients on organizational design and structure changes.
- Provide expertise related to change management including developing change management plans for various initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Organizational Development Learning Specialists to develop, implement and/or facilitate programs to address team related issues (e.g. capabilities, engagement, culture, performance).
- Lead the recruitment and selection process for leadership positions.
- Lead/participate in special projects.
What You Will Bring
- Undergraduate Degree in Business / Human Resources or in a related discipline;
- Minimum five years of progressive Human Resources experience;
- Experience working in a large, complex and unionized environment;
- Exceptional client service skills and experience providing strategic HR advisory services to senior level clients;
- Experience providing advice and support to clients in the areas of employee engagement, recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, team effectiveness, organization design and change management;
- Ability to advise and communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders including all levels of management, employees, union representatives, and other specialists within HR;
- Ability to bring the client's views and issues to the attention of HR management, and present recommendations and solutions, as appropriate;
- Ability to analyze data/metrics for information reporting, management decision making, and to drive improved business efficiencies;
- Ability to work independently as well as to perform effectively in a team environment and commitment to improving desired service levels;
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, under pressure with multiple priorities and with time-sensitive deadlines;
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion, tact and a high degree of confidentiality;
- Strong presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills;
- Consulting and problem solving orientation;
- Personal vehicle and driver license - Class G or equivalent.
You will stand out with:
- CHRL designation;
- Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
