Job summary

Foothills County in High River, Alberta, seeks an experienced Human Resources Advisor (on-site) with a generalist background. You will act as a trusted advisor to employees, supervisors, and management on a wide range of HR services and issues.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, initiative and collaboration to support HR activities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or diploma in HR, and 3–5 years’ HR generalist or advisor experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in human resource management.
• 3 years generalist/advisor HR experience or 5 years progressive HR experience.
• CPHR certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards Code, OH&S Act, Human Rights Act, and WCB.
• Experience with HRIS, ATS and Avanti; MS Office experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Support change management and performance initiatives.
• Respond to employee and labor relations issues.
• Handle day-to-day HR department activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree or diploma in HR

CPHR certification (preferred)
