Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Housing With Supports Coordinator in Alberta to support clients housed through the Housing With Supports program. The role focuses on intensive case management, securing stable housing, and connecting clients to community resources.

Ideal candidates will have a related human services credential, experience in social services or homelessness, strong computer and time management skills, and a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must possess a related certificate or diploma in Human services.
• Experience in social services environment or with the homeless population is asset.
• Must possess a vehicle for daily use and provide driver's license, abstract and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive case management for individuals housed through Salvation Army Housing With Supports Program.
• Complete necessary paperwork including assessments, follow-ups, monthly reports and data entry.
• Attend required case conferences and internal/external meetings.
• Meet with Supervisor regularly for updates and direction.
• Develop strong relationships with landlords and understand the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA).
• Advocate for individuals and the homeless population in a professional manner.
• Enter client information into HIFIS in a timely manner.
• Conduct home visits and transport clients as needed.
