Job summary

The Canadian Mental Health Association – York Region & South Simcoe is hiring a Housing Support Worker for the Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) program. The role focuses on helping adults with mental health challenges maintain housing, increase independence, and access community resources in York Region and South Simcoe.

This is a 1-year, full-time contract (35 hours/week) with potential for some remote work based on program needs.

Qualifications

• OCSWSSW registration is required.
• Experience applying recovery principles in practice.
• Ability to work in community settings with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Help clients maintain housing and promote independence.
• Collaborate with housing administrators and home operators within CHO.
• Provide budgeting, financial management support and resource access to clients.
