Job summary

John Howard Society of Saskatchewan is seeking an Assistant Program Coordinator to support daily housing program operations and case management within the Housing First (My Place) initiative. You will guide staff, participate in funder meetings, and help ensure services are risk-reductive and client-centered.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and crisis-intervention skills, plus a commitment to trauma-informed practices and restorative justice.

• Ability to work independently and build relationships with clients and agencies.
• Understanding of Restorative Justice and Harm Reduction practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily program operations.
• Provide support and guidance to program staff.
• Attend meetings with partnering agencies and funders as required.
• Support and assist caseworkers in crisis intervention and behavioral support for high-risk participants.
• Lead case planning and management for participants to ensure services are risk-reductive and participant-oriented.
• Support participants using a trauma-informed and restorative justice lens.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with landlords and other agencies.
• Model and encourage independent problem solving and decision-making.
• Complete reporting and administrative tasks to program and funder standards.
• Provide on-call and scheduling support as needed.
