About Toor Hotel – Part Of JDV By Hyatt

TOOR is a luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Downtown Toronto. Our 232 rooms and suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with breath-taking city and lake views and thoughtfully chosen amenities. Duties and responsibilities related to the Houseperson role:

Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field

Must have flexibility schedule for both AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays

Requires strong understanding of the English language to include speaking.

Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position, must be able to multi-task

Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amount of weight (minimum of 20 lbs)

Ability to stand for long periods of time and move moderate distances

Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, replenishing amenities, and cleaning bathrooms.

Ensure all guest supplies and amenities are stocked and replenished as needed.

Report any maintenance issues or damage to the appropriate department.

Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

Always maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.

Adhere to safety and security procedures and regulations.

Good interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills as well as attention to detail.

About You

As a Houseperson, you will deliver service excellence to our guests by maintaining a clean and welcoming public area and assisting the Housekeeping department. This position is responsible for keeping areas such as restrooms, front desk, fitness center, business center, restaurant, meeting rooms, outdoor spaces and executive offices neat and clean, while also assisting Room Attendants with supplies, linens, and removal of trash. Some guest requests will also be handled by the Houseperson team, requiring a strong command of the English language to deal with our guests. Candidates must currently reside in Canada with current legal working rights.

This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
