Sandman Hotel Group in Richmond, BC seeks a flexible, guest-focused housekeeping team member. Training is provided; follow instructions and maintain professional appearance. Shifts run 2pm to 11:30pm, with opportunities to assist across floors and public areas. No prior experience required, but strong communication and safety awareness are valued.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, wash floors, dust furniture, change linens, stock supplies.
Attend to guest needs for supplies and disinfect public areas.
Weeding/ mowing/ hedge trimming; leaf cleanup; planting/ edging; power washing.
Painting and general maintenance; assist housekeepers as needed.
Report hazards and manage equipment safely.
Maintain knowledge of cleaning products and handling procedures.
Report unusual persons/activities to management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

No education or experience required, we will train one on one

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is an asset
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Professional appearance and manners
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Shifts are 2pm- 11:30pm

DUTIES:

Sweeping, mopping, waxing/washing floors, dusting furniture, making beds, changing sheets/towels, stocking linen closets and supplies area,
Attend to guest needs/requests for extra supplies, cleaning and disinfecting public areas such as changing rooms, showers and pool area, washing windows/walls/ceilings, picking up debris, and empty trash containers.
Weeding/Mowing/Hedge Trimming
Leaf Clean up
Planting/Edging
Power washing
Painting
General Maintenance
Assist housekeepers when required.
Assist moving furniture, storage boxes, etc.
Ensures all maintenance and safety hazards are promptly reported to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize hazard risk
Takes personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secure at all times
Maintains an up to date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures
Reports any unusual or suspicious persons/activities happening in the area of security to the manager
Reports any maintenance issues including burned out light bulbs
