Sandman Hotel Group in Canada is seeking a dependable team member to support night audit and maintenance duties within our busy hotel environment. No formal education or experience required—we provide one-on-one training and opportunities for career advancement.

You will handle cleaning tasks, assist guests, maintain public areas, and help ensure safety and smooth operation while upholding professional appearance and courteous service at all times.

Formación

• No education or experience required; training provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication with guests and colleagues is preferred.
• WHMIS awareness is an asset and safety-focused approach.

Responsabilidades

• Sweep, mop, clean and maintain public areas and guest spaces.
• Attend to guest needs and requests for supplies and cleaning.
• Weed, mow, trim hedges, and perform general maintenance tasks.
• Power wash, painting, and upkeep of facilities as needed.
• Assist housekeepers and move furniture or storage as required.
• Report hazards and ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Support night audit and help ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Maintain equipment and uphold safety procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Support Night Audit

DUTIES

• Sweeping, mopping, waxing/washing floors, dusting furniture, making beds, changing sheets/towels, stocking linen closets and supplies area,
• Attend to guest needs/requests for extra supplies, cleaning and disinfecting public areas such as changing rooms, showers and pool area, washing windows/walls/ceilings, picking up debris, and empty trash containers.
• Weeding/Mowing/Hedge Trimming
• Leaf Clean up
• Planting/Edging
• Power washing
• Painting
• General Maintenance
• Assist housekeepers when required.
• Assist moving furniture, storage boxes, etc.
• Ensures all maintenance and safety hazards are promptly reported to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize hazard risk
• Takes personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secure at all times
• Maintains an up to date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures
• Reports any unusual or suspicious persons/activities happening in the area of security to the manager
• Reports any maintenance issues including burned out light bulbs
