Job summary

Fairmont Vancouver Airport is seeking a Houseperson to help deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will support the Housekeeping team to keep guest rooms and public spaces welcoming and well equipped.

You will assist Room Attendants, maintain inventory, respond to guest requests, and help with overnight shift coverage. The role offers a full benefits package, paid time off, and a wage of $32.00 per hour after probation.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
• Excellent organization skills and time management.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Ensure Housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
• Assist Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficiently.
• Maintain inventory in the Housekeeping closets.
• Respond timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items i.e.: cribs, cots, extra towels etc.
• Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from Room Attendants’ carts and closets.
• Carpet and upholstery cleaning.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Report necessary maintenance items.
• Must be able to provide overnight shift coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
