Job Overview:

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead, support, and inspect the work of room attendants and public area staff to ensure our hotel consistently meets and exceeds cleanliness standards. You’ll assist in scheduling, training, inventory management, and guest service recovery, while playing a vital role in supporting our Housekeeping Manager and overall hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards are met across guest rooms and public areas
• Assist with daily scheduling and room assignments for team members
• Inspect rooms, hallways, public areas, and storage spaces for cleanliness, repair, and proper supply levels
• Identify deficiencies and provide guidance, retraining, or corrective action as needed
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints and special requests
• Coordinate with the Guest Services team to report clean, vacant rooms in a timely manner
• Maintain inventory levels of linens and cleaning supplies; assist with monthly inventory counts
• Support deep cleaning projects and ensure proper equipment and procedures are followed
• Ensure staff follow health, safety, and sanitation standards in all areas
• Complete administrative tasks including maintenance requests, supply orders, and log updates
• Lead by example by assisting with hands-on housekeeping duties when required
• Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication across departments
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college education an asset
• 1–2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel setting, with prior supervisory experience preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push carts up to 200 lbs
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
• Proficiency in basic math and recordkeeping
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in English required
