Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of cleanliness within the hotel by directing and coordinating housekeeping staff according to hotel standards. The supervisor will also support the management of the housekeeping department by overseeing daily operations to achieve the department's goal of "picture perfect everywhere."

Responsibilities include:

1. Opening and closing the department
2. Completing DND and No Service Walks
3. Checking cash call rooms for damage and snack bar consumption
4. Completing Lost and Found logging and following up on guest inquiries
5. Checking rooms and corridors for cleanliness and condition
6. Performance management of associates
7. Collaborating with the front desk to ensure all priorities are completed timely

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years experience in hotel housekeeping
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience
• WHMIS and Biohazard cleanup experience is an asset
• First Aid Training
• Experience with performance management through courses and actions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to promote and deliver high service standards
• Customer service experience and strong leadership skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, and train staff
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work various shifts
• Physical ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs
• Knowledge of floor machines and relevant equipment is an asset
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments with repetitive movements
