Position Overview

Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor will ensure the highest quality of cleanliness in the hotel by directing and coordinating housekeeping staff according to hotel standards. The Supervisor will also oversee daily operations to achieve the department's goal of "picture perfect everywhere."

Responsibilities Include

• Opening and closing the department
• Completing DND and No Service Walks
• Checking cash call rooms for damage and snack bar consumption
• Logging and following up on lost and found items and guest inquiries
• Inspecting rooms and corridors for cleanliness and condition
• Performance management of associates
• Collaborating with front desk to ensure timely completion of priorities

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• WHMIS and Biohazard cleanup experience (asset)
• First Aid Certification
• Experience with performance management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer service experience and leadership skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, and train staff
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work various shifts
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Knowledge of floor machines and relevant equipment (asset)
• Physical stamina for demanding tasks
