Job Description

Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of cleanliness within the hotel by directing and coordinating housekeeping staff according to hotel standards. The supervisor will also support the management of the housekeeping department by overseeing daily operations to achieve the department's goal of "picture perfect everywhere."

Responsibilities Include

  • Opening and closing the department
  • Completing DND and No Service Walks
  • Checking cash call rooms for damage and snack bar consumption
  • Completing lost and found logging and following up on guest inquiries
  • Checking rooms and corridors for cleanliness and condition
  • Performance managing associates
  • Working closely with the front desk to ensure timely completion of priorities

Education Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel housekeeping
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • WHMIS and Biohazard cleanup experience (asset)
  • First Aid Training
  • Experience with performance management

Skills Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train staff
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work various shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
