Job summary

Mississippi River Health Alliance is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Linen Aide at the CPDMH location. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, healthy environment for patients, staff and visitors, following infection control policies.

Qualifying applicants should have at least Grade 11, one year of relevant experience, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a permanent part-time position with vaccination policy compliance required for consideration.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Grade 11.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Housekeeping/Linen Aide.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift & carry 3-5 gallon buckets of water for short distances & push moderately heavy loads.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads of linen, 20 to 45 pounds when wet, and push heavy carts.
  • Ability to operate a vacuum, floor polisher and other machinery.
  • Ability to work at tasks requiring continuous physical activity including lifting, pushing, walking, reaching, climbing (ladders) carrying and bending.

Job Description

Theincumbent is responsible for the duties as described in the Housekeeping/Linen Department Policy and ProcedureManual, in order to ensure the prevention of cross infection andcontamination. This includes maintainingclean, healthy and eye appealing surroundings for patients, staff and visitors.

Basic Requirements:
  • Successfulcompletion of Grade 11.
  • A minimumof one year previous experience as a Housekeeping/LinenAide.
  • Demonstratedgood interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability tounderstand and follow specific written and oral instructions.
  • Ability tolift & carry 3-5 gallon buckets of water for short distances & pushmoderately heavy loads.
  • Ability tolift heavy loads of linen, 20 to 45 pounds when wet, and push heavy carts.
  • Ability tooperate a vacuum, floor polisher and other machinery.

PreferredQualifications:
  • Basicknowledge and principles of hygiene and sanitation.
