Job summary

Lionel Morningstar Centre is seeking a Housekeeping Aide for LWDH in Northwestern Ontario on a part-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness to ensure a sanitary, safe environment for residents and staff under the CUPE Local 822 Collective Agreement.

The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning, adhere to safety protocols, and demonstrate reliability in attendance. Prior institutional cleaning experience is an asset, with flexibility for shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper safety practices.
• Ability to adhere to standards of cleanliness to prevent spread of infection.
• Must be physically able to reach/bend for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge of proper safety practices and PPE.
• Previous experience in institutional cleaning an asset.
• Ability to work in a sterile environment.
• Computer knowledge an asset.
• Reliable attendance record.

The housekeeping aide will contribute to the comfort, safety and cleanliness of Morningstar Centre through the maintenance and cleanliness of the space. The Housekeeping Aide will be responsible for maintaining the centre in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition.
