Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a casual Housekeeping Aide to support our communities. The role focuses on cleaning resident rooms, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring privacy during duties.

The position requires previous housekeeping experience, ability to read and follow instructions in English, and WHMIS-trained staff. Applicants must pass the Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Records checks as applicable.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience required.
• Ability to read, write English and follow written instructions.
• Good understanding of chemical and equipment use.
• WHMIS trained.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and team members.
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario).
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check (British Columbia).

Responsibilities

• Receiving assignment, assembling required materials and supplies, loading service cart and transporting to work area.
• Performs resident room cleaning as per assigned schedule.
• Performs cleaning and disinfecting duties such as sweeping, dry/wet mopping, vacuuming and rearranging furniture.
• Ensuring privacy of residents during performance of duties.
• Preparing room for new occupant following prescribed procedures to ensure tour ready at all times.
• Notifying supervisor when supplies are low or equipment is malfunctioning.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
