Compass Group Canada is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to perform routine cleaning across hospital areas, including patient rooms and clinics. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, attendance at training, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.

Weekend work may be scheduled, with emphasis on reliability and teamwork. Successful candidates will join a leading food and support services company committed to health, safety and high standards of cleanliness.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine cleaning of all facility areas including patient rooms, clinics, nursing stations, waiting rooms, lobbies, washrooms, offices, kitchens and operating rooms.
• Attend staff meetings, safety huddles, education and training as required.
• Use hospital approved cleaning chemicals and equipment following procedures.
• Wear PPE and uniform as required.
• Support the housekeeping function and assist as needed by supervisor or Manager.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality; work may include weekend shifts.

Accountabilities

• Performing routine cleaning (surface disinfection, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.) of all areas of the facility including but not limited to occupied/unoccupied patient rooms, clinics, nursing stations, waiting rooms, lobbies, washrooms, offices, kitchens, operating rooms, utility rooms, corridors, morgues, equipment, and public areas in accordance with quality standards, procedures, and departmental training
• Successful candidates may also be trained in the use of motorized cleaning equipment and performing floor care
• Attending staff meetings, safety huddles, education, and training as required
• Utilizing hospital approved cleaning chemicals and equipment (such as ladders, mops, vacuums and some motorized cleaning equipment) in accordance with departmental training and procedures
• Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniform as required
• Performing other duties in support of the housekeeping function and other duties as assigned and/or required by a supervisor or Manager
• Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record required
• Must be able to work where exposed to infection, blood/human waste, odors and work interruptions
• Schedule may include weekend work; effort will be made to give one weekend off in two.

• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to be standing/walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive activities such as lifting (up to 44 lbs. or 8-20 kg), reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, walking and occasionally climbing ladders as required
• Ability to process information, organize and prioritize tasks
• Must possess sufficient practical experience to perform the responsibilities of the position
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
