Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to provide in-home support for seniors, focusing on safety, comfort, and independence.

You will offer companionship, assist with light housekeeping, and follow each client's Plan of Care, with clear documentation and strict confidentiality. A high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and a vulnerable sector check are preferred, with reliable transportation and a caring, supportive team environment.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client's individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client's Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients' emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered strong assets
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical & Working Conditions

• Regular physical activity including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs) ---- -Manual dexterity and strength in both hands required

• Work performed within clients' homes in the community
