Job description

This casual position offers flexible shifts to cover staff shortages, with available hours including:

• 8am-4pm
• 9am-5pm
• 11pm-7am (NIGHTS)

The wage starts at $24.08 per hour until wage leveling ends, after which pay will reflect the collective agreement rates.

Responsibilities:

• Be a key part of the Retirement team in a fast-paced environment, making a positive impact on residents' lives.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment through thorough housekeeping, including:

a. Cleaning resident rooms as scheduled.

b. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.

c. Spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors.

d. Dusting and sanitizing furniture and fixtures.

e. Emptying wastebaskets and rearranging furniture.

f. Daily disinfecting of bathrooms.

• Prepare rooms for new residents, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times.

Resident Privacy and Room Preparation:

• Respect residents' privacy during cleaning.
• Ensure rooms are ready for new occupants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
