Job Description

Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the guestrooms to meet guest and client satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers. Be adaptable to customer needs.
2. Keep all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors clean, neat, and sanitary to ensure safety and health, following preventative maintenance procedures outlined in department policy.
3. Inspect and use judgment to determine appropriate cleaning techniques based on orientation guidelines.
4. Use housekeeping equipment and solutions efficiently and safely, as observed by supervisor.
5. Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides and sterilizing equipment as needed.
6. Employ universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials.
7. Keep the cart properly stocked with equipment and supplies; ensure all chemicals are correctly labeled and equipment is in good condition.
8. Promote effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships and maintain professional conduct at all times.
9. Assist in improving departmental productivity and operational efficiency.
10. Commit to professional growth by adhering to training requirements.
