Job summary

RIMAP Hospitality Services, a Montreal-based hospitality management company, seeks a Director of Technical Services to lead maintenance, safety, and asset-management across properties. You will manage a team of technicians, develop preventive programs, and oversee budgets and capital projects.

The role requires strong leadership, bilingual communication, and a track record in improving facility performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or post-secondary education with 5+ years experience in technical maintenance.
• Or a college/university degree in building/construction, engineering, mechanics with 4+ years in engineering, maintenance, or related field.
• HVAC/HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing training.
• Excellent written and spoken French and English.
• Experience managing, supervising, and developing a technical team.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and technical operations: manage a team of maintenance technicians for buildings, equipment, facilities and common areas.
• Plan workloads and allocate resources for repairs, inspections and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support to maintenance technicians and management.
• Ensure equipment, materials, and supplies are available for timely interventions.
• Ensure property aligns with brand and organizational standards.
• Manage and develop the team: assign tasks, monitor performance, participate in evaluations, identify training needs.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and facility performance: plan and oversee PM programs, monitor budgets and timelines.
• Maintain a safe environment: ensure safety and security of building, guests, tenants, and employees.
• Participate in hotel operations: attend daily meetings and collaborate with other departments.
• Perform other related duties for department operation.
