Job summary

Pursuit Collection – Jasper, AB is seeking a on-site plumber to join our hotel maintenance team. You will read blueprints, install and repair plumbing systems, and coordinate with contractors to support renovations across properties.

Qualifications

• Journeyman/woman certificate in Plumbing with a minimum of 2 years of plumbing experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving abstract.
• Read blueprints and understand plumbing layouts.
• Understand maintenance of hotel properties.
• Excellent mechanical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Knowledge of common tools and their uses.
• Ability to manage large workloads and multitask effectively.
• Ability to use computers and related programs.
• Understand OHS and hospitality industry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and plumbing activities with the Jasper Lodging team.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems with recommended outcomes.
• Install, repair and maintain hotel plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand/power tools.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, or welding equipment.
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Communicate and perform preventative maintenance across properties.
• Collaborate with contractors, electricians and other trades on project steps.
• Assist with coordination of renovations at properties.
• Document communication through a maintenance portal.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices.
