Job summary

Germain Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Handyperson to perform general interior and exterior upkeep across our hotel complex. You will handle building mechanics, electrical work, plumbing, painting and minor repairs under supervision.

The role requires physical fitness and a high school or college diploma in mechanical building tech, with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work safely in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Capable of safely handling heavy materials and tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspection of equipment and systems.
• Participate in preventive maintenance procedures.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks and document activities.
• Carry out interior and exterior maintenance work.
• Report defective systems and implement corrections.
• Assist with moving and lifting and carry tasks up to 100 pounds.
• Maintain mechanical components under supervisor guidance.
• Perform minor electrical work, e.g. changing light bulbs.
• Follow service manuals and health and safety practices.
