Job summary

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead the Engineering team and coordinate day-to-day operations of the department. The role ensures maintenance work is assigned, tracked, and completed safely and efficiently in alignment with Hyatt standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, refrigeration and life-safety systems, managing vendors, and generating reports for management.

Qualifications

• College degree or high school diploma in technical field required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hotel or related industry.
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a hotel environment.
• Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong knowledge of building operations: HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Able to read technical drawings and manage daily operations.
• Proficient with Opera PMS, BirchStreet, CMMS, VisionLine or Saflok, and HotSOS.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Engineering and Maintenance activities, assign and track work orders.
• Monitor maintenance requests and ensure timely closure in HotSOS.
• Schedule preventive maintenance for hotel equipment and facilities.
• Assist engineering leadership with planning, reporting, and admin tasks.
• Coordinate contractor and vendor visits with safety and site requirements.
• Maintain records for inspections, warranties, contracts, invoices.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.
• Support energy-management initiatives to improve efficiency.
