Job summary

Strata Hotel is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts at Kingston's Strata Hotel. You will develop relationships with corporate, group, and leisure clients and drive room, meeting, and event revenue.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will own the sales process, collaborate with operations, and represent the hotel at events. This role requires hands-on leadership in a small, independent hotel environment and a strong track record in hospitality sales.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales, corporate sales, group sales, event management, or a related hospitality role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve room, group, meeting, and event revenue goals.
• Proactively pursue new corporate, group, leisure, association, sports, wedding, and social business through prospecting, networking, sales calls, site visits, and outreach.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, local businesses, universities, government organizations, sports groups, tourism partners, and other key accounts.
• Respond to sales inquiries, prepare proposals, conduct site tours, negotiate contracts, and secure business in line with profitability objectives.
• Collaborate with GM and Ops to ensure groups/events can be delivered smoothly.
