Job summary

MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership) is seeking a Host for Real Sports in Toronto. Job description

Position Overview

As a valuable member of Real Sports, you will be responsible for the delivery of winning food & beverage service to our guests.

Specific Duties

• Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner, displaying welcoming body language and creating a positive first impression.
• Ensure all menus are clean and tidy before the start of each shift.
• Review reservations; update and maintain guest profiles.
• Present and maintain menus.
• Work with the Service Manager to prepare and organize seating plans.
• Seat guests according to the seating plan.
• Communicate any special requests to the team.
• Create a lasting impression by personalizing your farewells.
• Maximize the capacity of the dining room by assisting with table re-setting and other duties as the need arises.
• Assist bussers, servers, bartenders, and managers as needed.
• Support with any duties necessary in times of need as requested by managers.
• Knowledge of our food and beverage offerings including product allergies.
• Complete washroom checks.
• Adhere to MLSE Service Standards and Policies.
• Follow all MLSE Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Requirements

• Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be Smart Serve Certified.
• 2+ years of hosting position experience preferred.
• Previous experience in high-volume restaurants preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Compensation Range

$17.94
