Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership (MLSE) is seeking a bartender to join our RS team at iconic venues in Toronto. You will deliver high‑volume beverage service while upholding responsible alcohol practices and MLSE policies.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and a sharp eye for detail in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of bartending, Smart Serve certification, and availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bartending in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Smart Serve certification required.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays availability.
• Comfortable refusing service when necessary.
• Winning attitude and guest-focused approach.
• Knowledge of spirits, wine, and bar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive and friendly beverage service to guests.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per Smart Serve.
• Follow AGCO and MLSE policies and regulations.
• Provide informed responses to inquiries and monitor inventory.
• Act as an ambassador for RS and MLSE within the community.
• Support additional administrative or service tasks as needed.
• Adhere to MLSE Health & Safety policies and OSHA provisions.
• Maintain compliance with OHSA requirements.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

As a valuable member of RS team, you will deliver winning food and beverage service to our guests at all times by living our Vision and Values.

• Deliver responsible and friendly beverage service to our guests.

• Strictly ensure responsible alcohol service using Smart Serve principles.

• Ensure AGCO and MLSE policies & regulations are followed.

• Provide friendly and informed responses to inquiries.

• Monitor inventory and prepare bar for service.

• Act as an ambassador to RS, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and our community.

• Perform other administrative or service functions as the need arises.

• Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.

• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Qualifications:

_Note: Before reviewing the qualifications listed below, we want you to know that we understand you may not meet all the qualifications described and have other relevant expertise and experience._

• Bartender Certificate from a reputable Bartending School with practical on-site training is not required but is an asset.

• 3+ years’ experience bartending in a fast-paced, high-volume facility that serves cocktails, wine and beer.

• Smart Serve certification required

• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as the need arises

• Must be comfortable refusing service to guests if necessary

• A winning attitude

• Sophisticated knowledge of spirits, wine and bar equipment

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Able to pay close attention to detail & calculate order totals manually
