Job summary

Fairmont Vancouver Airport is seeking a Host to begin an exceptional food and beverage experience for guests. You will welcome guests from arrival and guide them through the dining areas with warmth and efficiency.

You will manage seating plans, assist with menu questions, and ensure smooth service flow across outlets, while adhering to safety, sanitation, and company standards. This role offers a strong team environment within an iconic airport hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Proven guest service experience in hospitality.
• Valid Serving It Right certification required.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer a professional and friendly greeting, and provide engaging service.
• Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Understand shift end reports in the outlet and POS system.
• Coordinate and control flow of outlets, seating plans and special events.
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Must possess and maintain a valid Serving it Right! certification
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team

Additional Information

Visa Requirements:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with valid work permit or visa. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization in Canada.
